About The Plough/Big Dipper
The Plough, or The Big Dipper, is part of a larger constellation called Ursa Major (Great Bear). The Plough consists of seven stars, three making up the handle and four making up the bowl. Two stars in the bowl form "pointers", leading you to the Pole Star (Polaris), which is a star within Ursa Minor (Little Bear). Polaris, the Pole Star, indicates the North Pole.
